Afraid of a dental checkup?

Every now and then, I bump into someone I know but have not seen in a while.

And the first thing they tell me is “oh doc, I want to come and see you. I have some bit of pain in one of my teeth. I will call and fix an appointment.”

This particular dental visit isn’t as scary as it is perceived, though. When you walk into a dental clinic for a checkup, there is no need to be afraid. All the dentist will do is examine your face especially in the upper and lower jaw areas, looking out for any abnormal swellings and inflamed or painful lymph nodes.
