Are NHS dentists yanking out teeth just to save cash?

When Kate Reeve went to her NHS dentist with a problem tooth two years ago, she was told the only option was to have it removed….After he’d cleaned it out, the dentist told Kate the only treatment available on the NHS was to have the tooth removed, at a cost of £40 plus £200 for a bridge.
However, if she spent £400 she could save the tooth by having root canal treatment privately…..
