INDIE-folk band My First Tooth will be heading to Glastonbury this summer after being picked from more 7,000 bands all hoping to play at the iconic festival.
The Northampton-based act took to the stage on Saturday night, competing in the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Contest. While they did not win a place on the main stage, all eight acts impressed festival organiser Michael Eavis enough to secure a place at the festival.
Singer and guitarist, Ross Witt, said: “It’s fantastic to have a place at Glastonbury; it’s a festival I’ve always wanted to play at. To get down to the final 123 bands was an achievement enough, so this is even better.”
About 7,200 bands entered the contest, before a panel of 40 music bloggers compiled a long list of 123 acts.
