A HELSTON woman has been selected as one of only ten specialist dental nurses to look after athletes at the London Olympics 2012.
For former Parc Eglos and Helston Community College pupil Holly Struthers, 23, it’s the culmination of a dream born seven years ago. specialist implant dentist london
Miss Struthers, in her first year at Cardiff Dental School, was determined to be involved with the Olympics in one capacity or another from the moment it was announced in 2005 they had been awarded to London.
“When I heard we’d won the Games I wanted to volunteer; I didn’t mind what for,” she said.dental implants london
She updated her application as she gained qualifications, underwent several interviews and training sessions and will now be based at the specially established medical facility in the Olympic village for the duration of the Games.dental implants cost

She will be in a team of 20 dental staff, including ten nurses.
“All the medical teams will be there,” she said.
“We’ll treat everyone.”
She had already had a good year before being accepted for the Olympics, being one of only a handful of applicants accepted out of hundreds for this year’s intake on the dental hygienists’ course at Cardiff.
She is currently taking exams at the end of the first year and on course to qualify next summer.
