One of the common methods to replace missing teeth is dental implants.
There are special screw-shaped inserts used to replace the missing teeth.
They are usually made of titanium.
Traditionally dental implant is used in staged approach.
The first stage is tooth extraction. Following 3-6 months of healing, stage two involve the placement of the dental implant in the jawbone.
Following a period of healing the third stage involve impression recording of the tooth implant to allow the making of the tooth crown that will be fitted at stage four.
During this healing period, the patient can use a cosmetic denture to provide tooth replacement.
Dr Daoudi, specialist dentist, with his wide experience uses immediate dental implant approach where possible.
This approach involves tooth extraction and the placement of the dental implant all in one visit. With the implant crown to be fitted at a later stage.
In some selective cases, tooth extraction, dental implant placement and a tooth can all be fitted in one visit. All can be done in less than 2 hours by our cosmetic dentist!
The same approach is adopted with all on 4 and all on 6 dental implants procedure commonly known as all on four dental implants same day teeth.
This will allow reduction to treatment time and quicker healing.
