Dent Impl

Have you been informed by your dentist that your tooth is broken beyond repair and need extracting?

Are you concerned or embarrassed by the idea of having a gap from missing teeth?

Immediate dental implant can be the solution to your concern.

There are many causes for tooth extraction including:

  • Trauma and sports injury or falls
  • Heavily decayed teeth
  • Old crowns with brittle root treated tooth
  • Gum disease

In situations like the above where little sound tooth structure left tooth extraction can be the best option.

It is a good practice to plan on how best to replace the tooth once extracted.

The options are to accept a gap or use of cosmetic denture, dental bridge or dental implant (tooth implant) to replace the missing tooth.

Nowadays, dental implant is the best option to replace missing teeth.

Conventional approach with dental implant takes many months (6-9 months) and several visits to the implant dentist from the start of tooth extraction to the fit of the final crown.

At London Smile Care, Dr Firas Daoudi – specialist dentist use different techniques of dental implant placement to suit every eventuality of our patients need including:

  • Instant dental implant placed at the time of tooth or teeth extraction. This approach is used with the all on four dental implants fitting cosmetic fixed bridge on the same day of teeth extraction.
  • Delayed placement of the dental implant few weeks after tooth removal allowing the extraction area to settle and for any infection to resolve.
  • Late implant placement which take place few months after tooth extraction.

Modern dental implants allow the immediate replacement of teeth … so the tooth will be extracted and instant dental implant placement will take place reducing the healing time to few weeks rather than few months with possible less dental implant cost.

Furthermore, there is the option (in selective cases) to place a crown or fixed bridge replacing the all missing teeth. This approach is used with smile in a day technique – same day teeth – all on four dental implants London. However, optimum amount of healthy bone is needed to apply this option with no need for complex bone graft procedure.
