Mentored by Tulisa Contostavlos, famous for cosmetic dental london work, the band scooped the crown in front a 10,000-strong audience at Wembley Arena in north London with millions more watching the ITV show live on television.
The band, made up of Jade Thirlwall, 18, Perrie Edwards, also 18, Jesy Nelson, 20, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19, beat Liverpudlian Marcus Collins to the title.

“I can’t believe the things that I have achieved in such a short space of time. It really has just turned my life around. I really want to make sure I go on to win this. I’ve worked so hard, I don’t want to let anyone down.”
Walsh said: “Every week you’ve never let us down. If I was looking for the perfect popstar and put everything into a computer I would get Marcus Collins. You’ve got everything and you’ve done everything you can possibly do.”
