There are different types of dentures. Partial dentures are used when there are still some teeth are still present in the mouth. They can be resting on the gum and derive some support from the remaining teeth. Full dentures, however, are used when all the teeth in one arch are missing. They only rest on the gum.

Those dentures can be problematic. They can be lose, affect speech and the ability to enjoy food.

As a result another type of dentures can be used called implant-supported dentures

This type of cosmetic dentures is attached to implants in the jawbone that extend outward from the gums. Usually 2-4 dental implants are inserted in the jawbone per arch t p provide such anchor to the dentures. Special connectors like ball attachments or locators are used for such connection to the denture. Alternatively, a bar can be made to connect the implants and for the denture to clip to it.

Regardless of the used attachment, the implant supported denture provide security to the denture. It improves on quality of life and function and prevent embarrassing situations with the denture.

This type of tooth replacement is also cost effective. It brings dental implants cost to minimum. With our finance payment options it become in reach of most of our patients. With higher budget you can always consider all on 4 implant bridge.

However, candidate patients still require careful assessment of the suitability of this type of dental implants’ prostheses.

Once fitted, dentures need regular cleaning and care to avoid future dental health problems and prolong the lives of the dentures themselves.

The used connectors also need regular clean and replacement to ensure the denture are still tight in function. With careful cleaning and maintenance, your cosmetic dentures will last for many years.
